The Norwegian centenarian continues its international growth. In its anniversary year, NorDan Group, through its subsidiary NorDan UK Ltd., acquires a majority stake in the British façade specialist RED Systems Ltd.

Founded in 1926 in Moi, Rogaland, NorDan has evolved from a local craftsmanship business into an international industrial group. NorDan is today one of Northern Europe’s leading manufacturers of windows and doors, with 2,600 employees, operations in nine countries and annual revenues exceeding NOK 5 billion. RED Systems Ltd. is a wellestablished UKbased provider of aluminium and glass façade solutions, headquartered near Liverpool, England. The acquisition represents a new strategic step in NorDan’s continued expansion in the UK market. The agreement was signed on 2nd April 2026.

RED Systems Ltd. was founded in 2003 by Michael Green and today employs approximately 60 people, supported by a network of strategic subcontractors. The company delivers complete façade solutions for large residential developments, office buildings, hotels and public buildings, covering the entire value chain from design and engineering to fabrication, installation and service. RED Systems has built a strong market position in the UK, particularly within projects demanding high standards of quality, design and execution.

The United Kingdom is NorDan Group’s secondlargest market after Norway. The Group’s UK operations are consolidated under NorDan UK Ltd, which has experienced significant growth over the past decade, particularly within major residential projects in London and other large cities. NorDan UK currently employs around 300 people and generates annual revenues exceeding NOK 1 billion. In 2025, the company completed the acquisitions of door manufacturer PDS in Manchester and installation specialist ESK Glazing in Scotland.

Through the acquisition of RED Systems Ltd., NorDan UK strengthens its position as a supplier of integrated window, door and façade solutions for large residential and commercial construction projects in the UK. The transaction broadens NorDan’s overall offering and increases its presence within aluminium and façade solutions – a product area that has become increasingly important across several of the Group’s core markets. The management team of RED Systems will remain in their roles and retain shareholdings in the company.

Dag Kroslid, CEO, NorDan Group:
“The acquisition of RED Systems is an important part of our longterm growth strategy in the UK market. RED is a strong and highly respected company with capabilities that complement NorDan’s existing operations very well. Completing this transaction in our anniversary year also underlines our ambition for continued growth and development.

The investment in RED Systems further demonstrates how aluminium windows, doors and façade solutions have become an increasingly important part of NorDan Group’s product portfolio. Today, these solutions sit naturally alongside our core offering of timber and timberaluminium windows and doors in our main markets. At the same time, the acquisition confirms that we work actively and purposefully across the full range of customer segments – from residential projects to public and commercial buildings, and from small and mediumsized developments to the largest and most complex projects.”

Craig Greenwood, Managing Director, NorDan UK:
“We are very pleased to welcome RED Systems to NorDan UK. This is about bringing together two businesses that already share a strong focus on quality, collaboration and delivery. For our customers, it means a stronger and more capable offering of products and services. We strengthen our ability to support projects earlier, work more closely with partners and deliver more comprehensive solutions.”

Michael Green, Managing Director, RED Systems:
“We are proud of the business we have built at RED Systems, particularly our reputation for delivering highquality, designled façade solutions. In NorDan, we have found a partner that shares our values, our approach to quality and our longterm commitment to customers. This was an important decision for us, and it was essential to align with a company that strengthens – rather than changes – the way we operate.

Becoming part of NorDan gives us the support and opportunity to build further on what we already do well, while continuing to deliver the level of service and performance our customers expect.”

Johannes Rasmussen, CMO, NorDan Group:

“Over the past 100 years, NorDan has built a leading brand position based on quality, expertise and the ability to develop in step with the market. The acquisition of RED Systems is a natural continuation of this journey and strengthens NorDan’s role as a longterm and relevant industrial player in the UK market.

What is particularly important to us is how well the two organisations complement each other in practice. We share a common understanding of project delivery – from early design coordination through to execution on site. By working more closely together, we enhance our ability to deliver integrated, highquality solutions and a high level of service to our customers, in line with NorDan’s vision of Perfekt Samspill.”

Tore Rasmussen, Chairperson of the Board, NorDan Group:
“With a population of more than 70 million, the United Kingdom represents a significant and important market opportunity for NorDan. The Group has achieved strong growth and success in the UK in recent years, and our clear intention is to continue this trajectory. As majority owners of RED Systems, we are taking another important strategic step forward. Together, we aim to win new market share and become even more relevant to our customers.”
