Celebrating 100 Years - Continuing to Grow

At the same time, NorDan's management points to the need for stronger political initiatives to stimulate the construction industry, particularly the residential new-build market across Scandinavia.

Revenue for NorDan AS, the Norwegian part of the Group, increased by 8.8 percent from 2024 to 2025. For NorDan Gruppen AS, encompassing operations in Norway and internationally, revenue grew by approximately 9 percent during the same period.

Operating profit (EBITA) for NorDan AS amounted to NOK 60 million in 2025, while NorDan Gruppen AS reported an EBITA of NOK 425 million.

This year, NorDan celebrates its 100th anniversary. Throughout 2026, the company, which employs approximately 2,650 people across nine countries (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, the United Kingdom, Poland, Ireland, China and Lithuania), has planned a variety of anniversary celebrations.

However, the company already has another reason to celebrate: another year of solid financial performance for both NorDan AS and NorDan Gruppen AS.

"We are very pleased with our financial results for 2025. We know that many companies in the construction industry have faced significant challenges in recent years. We have certainly encountered our own challenges as well, but we have managed them successfully, including throughout last year. These results are the product of a great deal of hard work across the organisation. I am proud of what our entire team has achieved," says Trond Magnar Unhammer, Managing Director of NorDan AS.

NorDan Gruppen can look back on a century of profitability. Few companies of this size in Norway can demonstrate such consistent financial performance over such a long period. Today, the Group operates 15 manufacturing facilities and 38 sales offices.

"We cannot say with absolute certainty that we have been profitable every single year, as the financial records from the Second World War are incomplete. However, since the post-war period, NorDan has not recorded a single year of losses. We are proud of how NorDan has continued to deliver results generation after generation," says Smiljana Divjak, Chief Financial Officer of NorDan Gruppen AS.

The Rasmussen family has owned NorDan for generations. The company was founded in 1926 when Johannes Rasmussen purchased a property in Moi and established a 28-square-metre workshop under the name Fjældhammer Trævarefabrik. There, windows, doors and staircases were produced for both the company's own projects and external customers.

Today, the Group's Marketing Director shares the founder's name: Johannes Rasmussen. He is among the last active members of the third generation working within the company, while several members of the fourth generation now hold various positions across the business.

"We have seen that a long-term approach and patience pay off over time. Across several generations, we have made many sound decisions, and today we have built a national and international business that we are truly proud of," says Johannes Rasmussen.

This anniversary year includes numerous celebrations. Tore Rasmussen, Chairman of the Board and one of the principal shareholders of NorDan Gruppen AS, comments:

"Our 100th anniversary should be something that is felt by our employees, business partners and everyone with whom we have built strong relationships. This is certainly a milestone worth celebrating.
